Sterling Engineering is Hiring a Test Technician Near Vernon, IL
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Pay Range: $21-$25 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Technician to join our team in Vernon Hills, IL. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for the thorough testing of Computerized Numerical Control systems and Industrial Automation products. Under the limited supervision of the QC department Supervisor and/or Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our industrial control systems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct final testing of industrial control systems, including cabinets, panels, modules, and sub-assemblies.
Maintain basic troubleshooting skills related to industrial control systems and perform tasks such as replacing failed modules, boards, components, cables, wiring, etc.
Provide constructive feedback to the test engineering department regarding current and new test procedures.
Maintain and develop a basic level of job and product knowledge.
Understand and use electrical circuit drawings, layout drawings, and cable drawings in conjunction with the testing process.
Enter specific Manufacturing (MFG) order and finished goods product data into the QC MFG database.
Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:
AA degree or equivalent experience.
Entry-level experience in testing electrical control panels and/or cabinets.
Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
